Application Technique

Remove all excess blood from the intended site by blotting, wiping, or suctioning. Removing excess blood allows SURGISPON^® powder to make direct contact with the site

Immediately apply a generous amount of SURGISPON^® powder.

For profuse bleeding, apply moderate compression to the source of bleeding using a dry compress.
Irrigation with saline before carefully removing the gauze is recommended.

Moisten the compress with sterile saline solution before removal and remove it carefully.
If bleeding continues, remove excess particles, and repeat the procedure.
