SURGISPON®
Absorbable Haemostatic Sponge

Absorbable Haemostatic Gelatin Sponge is a quick and effective haemostatic
Agent which stops bleeding fast. It reduces intraoperative bleeding and surgery
time. The uniform porosity of SURGISPON@ guarantees a favourable
haemostasis.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

Completely absorbed within 4 weeks
pH-neutral allows it to be added with drugs/thrombin
Absorbs 45 times its own weight
Easy to Handle when sutured
Available in powder putty variant to control cancellous bone bleeding
Lowers the need for blood transfusion
Reduces the rate of reopening or re-exploration
Supports clot formation & sternal stability
Powder Creates a conforming cast within sternal bone pores
Gelatin powder is resorbable, mixable and increases ossification

INDICATIONS

– Coronary artery bypass grafting surgery
– Valve replacements
– Sternotomy

– Vascular procedures
– ASD
– VSD

Effective in reducing postoperative blood loss as an assistant to conventional operational approaches for controlling hemorrhage from sternal wires

Surgi-ORC®
OXIDIZED REGENERATED CELLULOSE

A natural, plant based Absorbable Haemostat made up of Oxidized
Regenerated Cellulose, designed to stop capillary, venous & minor
arterial bleeding.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

Conforms to irregular and complex cardiac anatomy
Low pH Induces localized vasoconstriction & creates bactericidal environment
Performs reliably on wet, fragile myocardial tissue
Completely absorbed within 7-14 days
Good adherence to target bleeding sites
No serious adverse events (SAEs)
Supports clot formation & sternal stability
Forms a gel-like matrix on contact with blood, creating a mechanical barrier
Promoting osteo inductive influence
Reduces need for blood transfusions
Shorter post-operative stay in hospital
Shorter surgical times

INDICATIONS

– Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery
– Cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)
– Myocardial revascularization
– Valve replacements
– Complex reconstructions
– Sutureless fixation of long aortocornary saphenous vein grafts (SVG)

– Mitral valve repair surgery, Use during mediastinal hemostasis in cardiac procedures
– Open-Heart Surgery, sternotomy, adequately used in iliac bone procurement
– Left ventricular free wall rupture (LVFWR) due to Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM)

SURGI ORC SURGERY

Oxidized regenerated cellulose was cut and laid along the sternotomy over the intramedullary area before closing the chest

FLOGEL®
Flowable Gelatin Haemostatic Matrix Kit

FLOGEL® Flowable Gelatin Haemostatic Matrix, is made from absorbable
gelatin sponge, into a flowable form as off white (slight yellow) prefilled in
a syringe. It is used by applying to a bleeding site that occurs in tight and
irregular spaces especially at a difficult to reach site.
